Introduction to Bible Doctrines (written by Mark Stapleton)
The following 8 charts give teaching on basic Doctrines –
- The Fall of Man and his state by nature. (Revealing the need for Salvation etc.)
- Sin. (That which entered the world at the Fall)
- Justification. (The Legal aspect of Man’s getting right with God)
- The Atonement. (Fellowship restored between God and man)
- Regeneration. (How God puts a man right within)
- Repentance. (A change of mind, leading to a change of conduct)
- Redemption. (To deliver by paying a price)
- Sanctification. (Being set apart to God and separated from sin, in a Spirit filled life)
Each chart has the same basic layout. The 1st column is divided into 3 or 4 main headings. Each heading is then examined by Scripture references across the columns, relating roughly to –
LAW = Genesis to Deuteronomy
WRITINGS = History + Wisdom = Joshua to Esther + Job to Song of Solomon
PROPHETS = Isaiah to Malachi
GOSPELS/ACTS = Matthew to Acts
EPISTLES (including Revelation) = Romans to Revelation
Scripture references in brackets indicate additional relevant passages.
Originally compiled by the Rev L G Stapleton, now edited and compiled by Mark Stapleton. These charts were used as a teaching aid at mid-week Bible studies. They are now freely available as PDF and Word files and can be used for personal Bible study, Youth groups and Church weeknight Bible studies.
Scripture quotations are taken from the King James Version of the Bible.
